| This very good quality very high power eyepiece has a substantially wider field than other high power eyepieces in its price range. It provides a full 364x with an 8” f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain, typically the highest useful power obtainable with an 8” scope under very good seeing conditions. It works well for high magnification lunar and planetary observing and for splitting close binary stars. It also darkens the sky background for easier observation of compact galaxies and planetary nebulas. It has short eye relief will severely limit the field for eyeglass wearers. Those who must wear eyeglasses while observing due to severe astigmatism would probably be better off using a Barlow and a longer focal length eyepiece with longer eye relief to reach this focal length, rather than buying this eyepiece for use on its own.
