Meade Series 4000 QX Wide Angle eyepieces
The Meade Series 4000 QX eyepieces are a 5-element Erfle-type design with a very wide 70° apparent field of view. They are fully multicoated on all air-to-glass surfaces for maximum light transmission. All are computer-optimized for sharp images and excellent correction of chromatic aberration, spherical aberration, and astigmatism. Their lens edges have been blackened to reduce internal reflections and provide high contrast and a dark field. Each has a soft fold-down rubber eyecup to shield the eye from ambient light. The barrels are threaded to let you use standard color and nebula filters, and a safety groove is cut into each barrel to help prevent the eyepiece from falling out of the star diagonal or focuser should the focuser thumbscrew loosen during use. All have rubber grip rings for secure and comfortable handling in cold weather.
