The Vixen Corporation has manufactured high-quality telescopes in Japan since 1949, producing a wide variety of telescopes, telescope mounts, and astronomical accessories. Among Vixen’s many innovations was the invention and production of the “Sky Sensor,” the world's first computerized go-to telescope system in 1984. Vixen is the best-selling telescope brand in Japan, a position of leadership they have enjoyed for many years.
The Vixen Polaris and Vixen Great Polaris series of equatorial mounts are among the most recognizable and most-copied telescope mounts in the world.
