| This padded scope case provides a convenient means for transporting and storing the optical tube of an Orion 8” f/6 SkyQuest XT8 or XT8 Intelliscope Dobsonian reflector. It will also work with most other 8” Dobsonian optical tubes. Your optical tube and the optics inside it will stay cleaner and last longer, free of dings and scrapes.
The case measures 13.5” x 48” x 18.5”. It is made of heavy, water-resistant dual layer (polyester/nylon) material. Shock-absorbing foam padding is sewn into the inner lining for maximum protection. Oval padded end pieces help the case conform to the shape of the Dobsonian optical tube with its projecting focuser and finderscope. A full-length zipper allows easy access to the case. Sewn-in carry straps wrap completely around the case for support. A wide padded handle on the straps fits comfortably in the hand. The carry straps are long enough to sling over your shoulder, with the optical tube hanging between your arm and body, so that your shoulder takes the weight of the tube, rather than your hand.
