| This padded scope case provides a convenient means for transporting and storing the complete drive base/fork arms/optical tube assembly of an 8” Celestron CPC800 fork-mount Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. Aside from making transporting your scope easier, your optics will stay cleaner and last longer, and your complete scope will be protected from accidental dings and scrapes. The case carries the telescope and its drive base only. It does not carry the scope’s tripod.
The oval tubular case measures 19” x 25” x 14”. It is made of heavy, water-resistant dual layer (polyester/nylon) material. Shock-absorbing foam padding is sewn into the smooth snag-resistant inner lining for maximum protection. Oval padded end pieces help the case conform to the shape of the optical tube in its fork arms. A zipper around the circumference at one end allows easy access so you can slide your scope in and out of the case in seconds. The easiest way to use the case is to slip the case over the upright scope, tilt the scope on its side, and zip the end flap shut around the drive base. To take the scope out of the case, simply reverse the process. Start with the scope lying on its side, unzip the case end flap and fold it back, raise the scope upright, and slide the case off the scope.
Sewn-in carry straps wrap completely around the case for support. A tubular molded handle on the straps fits comfortably in the hand. A zippered pocket on one side of the case holds a finderscope, eyepieces, star diagonal, etc.
Comfortable to carry, forgiving of bumps and bruises, this very protective telescope carrying case is a smart buy for the owner of a Celestron 8” CPC800 SCT. It provides inexpensive protection for your expensive optics. |
