| This Astro-Tech 2” to 1.25” eyepiece adapter slips into your telescope’s 2" focuser or eyepiece holder to let you use a 1.25" star diagonal, image erecting diagonal, or photographic accessories in your 2” focuser scope. It also lets you use 1.25” eyepieces in an existing 2” star diagonal.
The Astro-Tech adapter uses a non-marring soft brass compression ring to hold your 1.25” accessories in place. The compression ring won’t scratch the barrel of your star diagonal and accessories as an ordinary thumbscrew can. A chromed thumbscrew lets you adjust the tension on the compression ring.
The bottom of the 2” barrel of the adapter is threaded to hold 2” light pollution and neutral density filters. The outside of the barrel has a slanted shoulder that acts as a safety stop to engage your focuser’s thumbscrew. This keeps the adapter and your star diagonal from falling to the ground should your focuser thumbscrew accidentally loosen during use.
The body of the adapter is made of machined aluminum, anodized black for long life. |
