| This hard protective carrying/storage case holds the equatorial head from Celestron CG5 and Meade LXD75 German mount telescopes. These include the Celestron CG5 equatorial mount without go-to and the CG5 GT equatorial mount with computerized go-to. These include such scopes as the Advanced Series C5-S / C5-SGT / C6-R / C6-RGT / C8-N / C8-NGT / C8-S / C8-SGT / C9¼-S / C9¼-SGT / C10-N / C10-NGT, and more. It also includes all Meade LXD75-series scopes, such as the AR-5 / AR-6 / SC-8 / SN-6 / SN-8 / SN-10, and older Meade LXD55 German equatorial mount scopes, such as the LXD55-series AR-5 / AR-6 / SC-8 / SN-6 / SN-8 / SN-10.
The case has a die-cut foam interior with compartments for the head assembly with declination shaft with counterweight(s) attached. A pouch is included to hold the computer hand control. Metal retaining brackets hold the equatorial head firmly in place within the case. There are two locking latches and a carrying handle that folds flat out of the way when not in use.
The outside dimensions of the case are approximately 26.25” x 16.5” x 7.25”. Its empty weight is approximately 9.5 lbs. The shipping weight is approximately 12.1 lbs. All values are subject to slight changes. |
