| This reducer lens (tele-compressor) more than doubles the field of view and halves the photographic magnification of the Celestron NexImage solar system CCD imager. It effectively changes the image size recorded by the NexImage from the equivalent of that seen through a 6mm eyepiece to that of a 12mm eyepiece. This permits wider field lunar imaging (as well as solar imaging, if you use the proper solar filter over the objective of your scope). The NexImage Reducer Lens is a multicoated multi-lens system specific to the NexImage. To use the reducer, unscrew the 1.25” barrel from the NexImage and thread the reducer directly into the NexImage housing in its place. |
