This high quality bolt-style polypropylene eyepiece container provides inexpensive protection for your expensive optics. It keeps an eyepiece safe, dustproof, and dewproof. It has a hexagonal base that prevents the eyepiece from rolling if the container is placed on a slanted surface. Soft foam inserts inside both ends cradle the eyepiece and keep it from rattling around during transit. If the foam insert in the top of the container is too loose for your liking, a piece of double-faced tape (not supplied) can be used to hold it in place in the container top. Additional foam inserts (#65FOAM) are available optionally to provide a more snug fit for short eyepieces. The screw-closure design cannot open accidentally, even if dropped. The length is adjustable to hold any eyepiece or Barlow measuring between 65mm (2.55”) and 105mm (4.15”) in length, with a maximum diameter of 65mm (2.55”).

Some of the eyepieces and optics that fit in this container include:

    1.- TeleVue 12mm Nagler Type 4;

    2.- TeleVue older 9mm Nagler;

    3.- TeleVue 22mm Panoptic;

    4.- TeleVue #PARAPHO Paracorr Photographic and Celestron f/6.3 focal reducer (both need several additional #65FOAM foam pieces for a snug fit)

    5.- Meade Electronic Eyepiece and cord;

    6.- Pentax 14mm, 21mm, and 28mm XL – as a replacement for the standard equipment but less-sturdy and more difficult to open rectangular plastic case they come with; and

    7.- Celestron 12mm Microguide and 10mm cordless illuminated reticle eyepieces, Meade 9mm and 12mm corded and cordless illuminated reticle eyepieces, Meade 12mm Astrometric cordless illuminated reticle eyepiece, and Takahashi 5mm cordless illuminated reticle eyepiece.
