| This black anodized aluminum caddy plate attaches a Sky Tour computer to a TeleVue altazimuth mount. It holds the Sky Tour near the telescope focuser and conveniently at your fingertips. Because you don’t have to hold the Sky Tour computer in one hand while you use the other to input commands, the caddy plate frees up both of your hands to operate the scope. It also eliminates the chance of dropping the computer in the heat of the observing moment. The Sky Tour caddy plate bolts onto either the right hand or left hand half of an optional TeleVue eyepiece caddy set, whichever is most convenient for you. The eyepiece caddy must be attached to the head of a TeleVue Gibraltar, Panoramic, and Tele-Pod mount before the caddy plate can be installed. The Sky Tour caddy plate cannot be used without the eyepiece caddy set. Adhesive-backed Velcro pads (supplied) are attached to the top of the slanted caddy plate and to the back of the Sky Tour computer to hold the Sky Tour at a convenient viewing angle during use. Because the caddy plate attached to the altazimuth head, rather than the tripod legs of the mount, it moves with the scope, always remaining in the same position in relation to the eyepiece no matter what direction the scope is facing. |
