| This Losmandy piggyback system for Losmandy “D-plate” accessory dovetails is precision-machined of aluminum and anodized black for long life. It can be used to support a camera and lens for taking a long exposure photo, or a CCD camera being used to guide a long exposure photo being taken through the main optics. The DCM provides a stable camera platform with a full 360° camera rotation.
The base of the Losmandy DCM has a slot that fits the 75mm wide dovetail of any Losmandy “D-plate” accessory dovetail. A quick release knob lets you position the DCM at any point along the length of the dovetail for balancing purposes and lock it securely in place, with no tools needed. A standard 1/4”-20 thread camera attachment bolt extends up through the camera platform of the DCM to hold your camera. A large plastic knob on the bolt lets you lock the camera securely in place at any desired rotation angle.
The DCM weighs 1.2 lbs. The height from the top of the dovetail plate to the top of the camera mount is 1.5”. |
