| This 112mm diameter protective glass filter threads into the objective lens cell of the Takahashi FSQ-106ED apochromatic refractor. It acts as a haze and UV filter for CCD imaging. It also protects the scope’s objective lens from accidental bumps and damage. The filter is made of optical glass, with the opposing faces polished to a high degree of parallelism and surface flatness. The nearly invisible multi-layer UV-cut coatings are ion-deposited. |
