| This short focal length TeleVue Radian eyepiece is a winner for medium high magnification observing with long focal length refractors, reflectors, or catadioptric scopes – even under average seeing conditions. Its 10mm focal length is ideal for an f/10 Schmidt-Cassegrain, providing a 1mm exit pupil that best matches the resolution of the scope to that of your eye. Combine that resolution with its high contrast and you have an eyepiece that’s virtually unexcelled for lunar, planetary, and globular cluster observing with an SCT. (Some of the larger globulars, such as M13, will more than fill its 0.3 degree field with such a scope.) It is also exceptional for medium power viewing with short focal length refractors and fast focal ratio Dobsonian reflectors. |
