| This 50mm filter set from Custom Scientific for SBIG STL series cameras is designed to drop into the filter carousel built into each STL camera without vignetting the largest (35mm format) CCD detector in the series. It consists of five unmounted 50mm diameter filters, one each luminance, red, blue, green, and clear. The STL filter carousel is threaded for 48mm (2”) filter cells as well as these 50mm filters, but the full 50mm diameter of these unmounted filters provides the maximum aperture for the large format cameras. For this reason, each is supplied without a threaded cell, which would otherwise reduce the filter’s clear aperture. This Custom Scientific 50mm filter set from SBIG is professional quality, antireflection coated, and IR blocked. The luminance filter is both UV and IR blocked to match the RGB cutoffs. It is also AR (anti-reflection) coated. The clear filter is AR coated only. All are parfocal. |
