| This Astrozap lightweight 20-gauge aluminum dew shield is lined with black felt to absorb both moisture and light. The powder-coated exterior finish is baked on for long life and chip resistance. Nylon thumbscrews in heavy-duty metal inserts hold the dew shield onto the telescope optical tube. The exterior is black to match the finish of many Celestron 8” Schmidt-Cassegrains made since the late 1980s – the Celestar 8, Ultima 8, G8, etc. This dew shield is not for the NexStar 8 GPS optical tube (use part #1968GR for that scope), for the Celestron CPC-800 (use part #1968CPC for that scope), or for the Celestron NexStar 8i or 8SE (use notched dew shield part #1968SE for those scopes). |
