| This Astrozap lightweight 20-gauge aluminum dew shield is lined with black felt to absorb both moisture and light. Nylon thumbscrews in heavy-duty metal inserts hold the dew shield onto the telescope optical tube. The exterior is gloss black to match the finish of most Celestron 9.25” Schmidt-Cassegrains with two exceptions. One is the metallic gray finish of the Celestron 9¼” German equatorial mount CGE-925 Schmidt-Cassegrain. Use part #1969GR for that scope. The second exception is the Celestron 9¼” Advanced Series German equatorial mount scope, which requires a notched dew shield to clear the mounting bar that extends from the front to rear cells of that particular model. For the Advanced Series German-mount 9¼” scope, use part #1969GPS. |
