The heater strip is wrapped around the eyepiece, label side out. The entire back (label side) of the heater strip is Velcro. There is a Velcro tab on a 2.5” elastic strap on one end of the heater strip. When you pull the strap tight and press the Velcro tab onto the Velcro back of the heater, the elasticity of the strap holds the heater in place on the eyepiece.

The 3 watt heater strip draws 0.2 amps at full power (power consumption at normal operating levels will generally be 30% to 50% of maximum, as the normal standard controller setting is medium to low). It has a permanently attached 4’ power cord terminated by a male RCA plug for connection to the heater control unit.
