| This is a very good medium power eyepiece for lunar observing, resolving globular clusters, picking up detail in the more compact emission and reflection nebulas, etc. Its 14mm focal length is a good eyepiece for filling in the gap between the 25mm or 26mm eyepiece that generally comes standard with most telescopes and a high power planetary/binary star splitting eyepiece. The sliding eyecup is a little too wide to fit into the Meade #8541 variable tele-extender for eyepiece projection photography, so do not buy it for this purpose. |
