| The base of this precisely-machined quick-release dovetail bracket is mounted on your Takahashi optical tube in place of the finderscope bracket, using the original finderscope bracket mounting bolts. The finderscope bracket itself is mounted on the dovetail portion of the quick release bracket instead of on the optical tube. Hand-tighten bolts in the side of the bracket engage with holes in the precisely-machined base to lock the dovetail and finderscope firmly in place without the need for recollimating the finder every time the bracket is removed and replaced. The dovetail is machined of solid aluminum, painted in Takahashi green to match your optical tube and finder bracket. Bolts to attach the finder bracket to the dovetail are supplied, as is an Allen wrench to assemble all of the pieces. The supplied attachment bolts and hand-tighten bolts are stainless steel for long life and good looks. |
