| This Losmandy saddle plate can be installed on a Losmandy GM-8 mount in place of the standard GM-8 saddle to allow the use of Vixen-style V-series dovetails. This VSP saddle plate has a narrower 45mm dovetail slot when closed to accept Vixen-style dovetails (the standard GM-8/G-11 saddle has a 75mm slot). The adapter weighs 1 lb. It measures 1” thick x 4.0” wide x 2.7” long and is anodized black for good looks and durability. Two hand-tighten knobs tighten the jaws of the dovetail slot to lock Vixen-style dovetail plates firmly in place. There are 2 mounting holes for 1/4” stainless steel socket head cap screws (supplied) on 3” centers for connection to the GM-8 equatorial head. |
