| This full aperture filter has a 76mm/3” clear aperture Type 2+ glass filter element. The filter is mounted in an aluminum cell that has an 89.5mm/3.52” internal diameter to fit scopes with a maximum diameter of 87mm (3-7/16”). It fits the 85mm o.d. Astro-Tech AT66 apo refractor by applying tabs of the thick supplied self-adhesive felt to the inside of the filter cell. You can custom fit it to scopes with an O.D. of 82.8mm (3-1/4”) to 87mm (3-7/16”) by using the extra supplied self-adhesive felt (it comes with two 12” long x 3/4” wide strips, one measuring 1.1mm thick and the second 2.2mm). Always remember to install the solar filter before pointing your telescope at the Sun to avoid instant and irreversible damage to your eyesight. |
