| This full aperture filter has a 203mm/8” clear aperture Type 2+ glass filter element. The filter is mounted in an aluminum cell that has a 254mm/10.00” internal diameter to fit scopes with a maximum diameter of 252.4mm (9-15/16”). It fits all versions of the Meade 8” LXD-55 and LXD-75 Schmidt-Newtonians, plus the Takahashi CN-212 Cassegrain/Newtonian. You can custom fit it to scopes with an O.D. of 247.7mm (9-3/4”) to 252.4mm (9-15/16”) by using the extra supplied self-adhesive felt. Always remember to install the solar filter before pointing your telescope at the Sun to avoid instant and irreversible damage to your eyesight. |
