| This prime focus adapter fits Meade 3.5”, 4”, and 5” ETX Maksutov-Cassegrain astronomical telescopes and spotting scopes only. It consists of two parts: a basic adapter and an extension tube. The basic adapter converts any 3.5” ETX-90 into a 1250mm f/13.8 telephoto lens; the 4” ETX-105 into a 1640mm f/15.6; and any 5” ETX-125 into a 1900mm f/15. In all cases, there will be some vignetting, or darkening at the corners, of the image. Adding the supplied extension tube to the basic adapter eliminates the vignetting, but increases the focal length of the 3.5” ETX-90 telescope and spotting scope to 1450mm and the focal ratio to f/16. The 4” ETX-105 telescope increases to an 1830mm f/17.4 with the extension tube. The 5” ETX-125 telescope and spotting scope increase to a 2310mm f/18. Needs optional T-ring. |
