| This pair of aluminum motor covers replaces the soft plastic slip-on covers that are standard with the Losmandy GM-8, G-9, G-11 and HGM 200 mounts. They provide solid metal protection to the motors that are otherwise exposed to every knock, bang, and bump during transport to a dark sky site. Very strongly recommended to prevent motor damage if you transport your scope frequently. They are machined from solid aluminum and are black anodized. They come with all mounting hardware. As the wires to the motors are a little long, to allow easy assembly at the factory, you will probably have to tuck the wires in around the motors to get the covers to slip on easily. A little finessing of the wiring is usually required for a flush fit. These covers do not fit the high speed motors and position encoders of the Losmandy Gemini go-to system. |
