| This 114mm i.d. clamshell-type tube holder is designed specifically to allow the Takahashi TSA-102S, FS-102, and older fluorite optics FSQ-106, as well as all of their various incarnations, to be mounted on Takahashi German equatorial mounts. This single piece ring is 4” long, to provide the same or greater stability than two individual rings. It is felt lined, with chromed hinges and a clamshell locking knob. It has a 1/4"-20 thread hole on the bottom for attachment to a standard photo tripod, as well as two unthreaded holes for attaching to Takahashi equatorial mounts, the #BPLATE B-T Technology dovetail plate, Losmandy GM8UV dovetail plates, etc. A flat boss with a 1/4'-20 bolt on the top of the ring can be used as a piggyback camera mount. |
