| This 11” long x 1.6” wide saddle plate lets you mount an optical tube on a Meade LXD-75 German equatorial mount, which does not come with an optical tube mounting plate as standard equipment. It can also be used on an older Meade LXD-55 mount, as well as on Vixen Great Polaris or Sphinx mounts, or on a Celestron CG-5 or Advanced Series go-to mount (all of which have a 1.75” wide dovetail slot). The saddle plate is made of black painted die cast aluminum. The plate has slanted sides to fit the mount dovetail. Safety indentions on either side of the plate act as a stop to keep the plate from sliding out of the mount should the mount’s lock knob accidentally loosen during use. Flat bosses on either end of the plate, with unthreaded holes on 9.5” centers for 1/4” bolts (not supplied), hold your optical tube’s mounting rings. |
