| This filter threads into the base of the chrome barrel of most 2” eyepieces (except those 2” eyepieces that have a concentric 1.25” barrel, such as the TeleVue 12mm Nagler Type 4, the Meade Series 4000 8.8mm Ultrawide, etc.) The filter reduces irradiation, glare, and brightness in lunar and planetary observing with medium aperture telescopes by allowing only 25% of the light collected by the telescope to reach your eye, without affecting the color balance. This filter works best with telescopes 6” to 8” in aperture and larger. 25% transmission. |
