| This Celestron laser pointer with telescope mount lets you put a laser pointer on your scope to make aiming your scope at celestial objects fast and easy. Just move your scope until the laser beam points at the desired object, such as a planet or star cluster, and your scope is automatically lined up on the object for close-up observations through the scope eyepiece.
The laser pointer can be quickly removed from the scope to use as a hand-held star pointer for showing your friends or family members the location of celestial objects.
The laser pointer kit includes a 5mW green laser and two mounting brackets (one for dovetail mounts and one for SCT telescopes). The laser has X-Y alignment screws for quick and accurate alignment of the finder with your scope. The quick release dovetail attachment allows you to quickly remove the laser for hand-held use as a star pointer. The laser is powered by a long life CR123A battery (included).
Remember that a laser pointer is not a toy. Damage to your eyesight can result if pointed directly at your eyes. It should not be given to young children to use as a Star Wars light saber. |
