| This 12VDC submersible water pump may be used with any SBIG STL series CCD camera. It provides 6-9° C greater cooling of the CCD chip than standard active fan air cooling alone. This provides less electronic noise in the image and is very desirable in areas where it stays very warm at night and during the warmer seasons of the year in all areas. While it is designed primarily for STL-series cameras, if you are operating an ST-7/8/9/10/2000 camera in the field or any place where there is no convenient 110VAC supply, then it may be adapted for use with these cameras by using two pieces of user-supplied step down tubing from the camera to the smaller tubing supplied with this 12VDC pump. A cigarette lighter plug lets you plug the pump into a portable power pack. A 110VAC adapter (#DCWPAC) can be added for dual use. |
