| This lightweight Astrozap metal dew shield is made of rugged 20-gauge welded-seam aluminum. The interior is lined with contrast-enhancing black felt to absorb both stray light and moisture. Its exterior is Meade gloss blue to match the finish of all previous Meade 10” Schmidt-Cassegrains – LX200, LX90, LX5/6, 2120, etc. – that have a glossy blue finish. The durable powder-coated finish is baked on for long life and chip resistance. Nylon thumbscrews in heavy-duty metal inserts lock into the groove in the corrector plate rim to hold the dew cap onto the telescope optical tube and assure a secure fit. |
