| This TeleVue 1.5x Imaging System Extender has been optimized for use with the TeleVue NP-127is and NP-101is imaging system telescopes. It is perfect for achieving greater image scale and for framing smaller celestial objects during imaging with these scopes.
The extender slips directly into the scope’s focuser (without the need for the imaging insert supplied with each scope). It increases the focal length of the NP-101is by 50%, from 540mm to 810mm, and that of the NP-127is from 660mm to 990mm. The wide 2.4" body of this Imaging System accessory allows its use with formats up to 35mm frame size. The extender includes a 0.25" spacer that must be attached for use.
In addition, you will need the following optional accessories for top performance at prime focus:
- For use with CCD cameras having APS-size imaging chips (approximately 25.1mm x 16.7 mm) and DSLRs, you will need either a #13TRA T-ring adapter or a #13CAW Canon wide mount T-ring adapter. You will also need one #13T100 1" spacer, in addition to the 0.25" spacer included with the extender.
- For use with SBIG STL Research Series CCD cameras, you will need a #13STL adapter for STL cameras and three spacers to give you an additional 1.625" spacing (one #13T100 1" spacer, one #13T037, and one #13T025), in addition to the 0.25" spacer included with the extender.
