The NP101 is TeleVue's closest approach yet to the holy grail of the "perfect" multi-purpose photo/visual telescope. Like the TV-101 and the Genesis before it, the NP101 is a 4" f/5.4 (540mm focal length) four-lens system. Based on the classic Petzval design, the NP (Nagler Petzval) takes full advantage of the latest exotic glass types to produce levels of correction for coma, astigmatism, field curvature, secondary spectrum, spherical aberration, and spherochromatism that no other fast focal ratio refractor can match. It sets a standard for performance unmatched by any other 4" telescope.
