| This adapter lets you attach most CCD cameras to the Takahashi #TCC102 wide mount 35mm camera adapter. The #TCC102 itself attaches to any Takahashi FS-102, TSA-102, FS-128, FS-150, or TOA-130 apochromatic refractor for unvignetted prime focus wide-field photography.
Most CCD cameras have 1.25" or 2" nosepieces that can be removed to expose female T-threads in the front of the camera body for connection to a camera adapter. The wide mount male threads of the #TCC102 are designed to thread into an optional non-vignetting Takahashi wide mount T-ring that in turn bayonets to a 35mm camera body. The wide mount male threads of the #TCC102 will not connect directly to the female T-threads on a CCD camera. This adapter steps down the threads of the #TCC102 to standard 42mm T-threads to connect to the CCD camera. This adapter will not work with SBIG Research Series CCD cameras, as these have non-standard threads in the camera body when the nosepiece is removed.
The adapter ring is made of machined aluminum, anodized black.
