This TeleVue mount handle provides more precise motion control with current Gibraltar and older TeleVue Tele-Pod, Panoramic, and Gibraltar altazimuth telescope mounts. The handle acts like the pan handle on a photo tripod to provide finer control of the telescope's motion (you don’t have to push on the scope’s tail piece or focuser to move the scope across the sky). It is supplied as standard equipment with current TeleVue Panoramic and Tele-Pod mounts and is optional only with the current Gibraltar mount. This handle should only be bought separately if you have an older mount that did not come with a handle or a current Gibraltar mount that you feel needs a little extra control finesse.

This foam-grip black-anodized aluminum pan handle bolts firmly to the underside of the telescope cradle of current Gibraltar and older TeleVue Tele-Pod, Panoramic, and Gibraltar mounts. These older mounts were generally pre-drilled to attach the handle. The handle can be mounted for either right hand or left hand operation.

TeleVue mounts more than five or six years old may require some drilling in the soft aluminum mount base plate to retrofit the handle. A drilling template is supplied, if needed to mount the handle.
