This Celestron 25 pound counterweight lets you balance extra-heavy accessory loads (such as a large photoguide refractor, accessory dovetail, mounting rings, and a camera) that are used with a Celestron CGE computerized go-to equatorial mount telescope or an older Celestron CI700 mount. It will also let you install and balance a heavy scope on the Celestron CGE mount or on a Losmandy G11 mount (both of which come with only one pound counterweight as standard equipment when the mount is bought alone). It can also be used with any mount that uses a 1.25" diameter counterweight shaft. A hand-tighten knob holds the counterweight in place on the mount’s declination shaft.
