This lightweight Astrozap 20-gauge aluminum dew shield is lined with black felt to absorb both moisture and light. The finish is black to match the finish of most 14" Celestron SCTs made since the late 1980s – the C14, CM1400, etc. – with the exception of the gray-tube Celestron CGE1400. For the CGE1400, use part #1964GR. It will also fit any orange tube C14 made prior to the late 1980s. The dew shield’s powder-coated exterior finish is baked on for long life and chip resistance. Nylon thumbscrews in heavy-duty metal inserts hold the dew shield onto the telescope optical tube.
