This Astrozap lightweight 20-gauge aluminum dew shield is lined with black felt to absorb both moisture and light. The powder-coated exterior finish is baked on for long life and chip resistance. Nylon thumbscrews in heavy-duty metal inserts hold the dew shield onto the telescope optical tube. The exterior is gloss black to match the finish of the Celestron CPC-800 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain. Except for its color not matching, it will also physically work with most 8" Celestron SCTs made since the late 1980s with the exception of Celestron single fork arm scopes such as the Celestron NexStar 8i or 8SE (use notched dew shield #1968SE for those scopes).
