This saddle plate from the G-11 mount can be installed on an older Losmandy GM-8 mount in place of the standard GM-8 saddle to allow the use of “D" series dovetail plates. This saddle has a wider dovetail slot than the old-style GM-8 saddle to accept the 75mm wide dovetail on the “D" series plates. Current GM-8 mounts come with this saddle plate already installed. The adapter weighs 29 oz. It measures 0.75" thick x 4.0" wide x 8.0" long. There are 2 mounting holes for 5/16" stainless steel bolts (supplied) on 3" centers for connection to the GM-8 equatorial head.
