This is an economical medium power 2" eyepiece for very wide field views of galaxy clusters, nebulas, compact open clusters, globular clusters, etc. If you have a 2" star diagonal, this eyepiece will nearly double the area of the field of view visible through the 25mm or 26mm 1.25" eyepiece that comes standard with most telescopes.
