This sophisticated lens-type straight-through image erector is designed to provide upright and right-reading terrestrial images with 1.25" eyepieces in reflectors using a 1.25" focuser drawtube and catadioptric telescopes with a 1.25" eyepiece holder or visual back. It is unique in that it can also be used to provide erect and right-reading images with virtually any Newtonian reflector-type telescope, as well. The tube adds 5.6" to the length of the focuser drawtube. A chrome thumbscrew holds eyepieces in place. The system's 1.25" chrome barrel has an undercut safety groove that engages the focuser thumbscrew to help prevent the image erector from falling, should the thumbscrew accidentally loosen in use. The black interior of the 1.25" barrel has antireflection threading to improve contrast. The three lenses of the system are all fully antireflection coated for high light transmission.
