| If you’re like most observers, you may have boxes full of telescope accessories, but when you’re out with your scope you generally use only a few favorite visual accessories. You might use two or three eyepieces, a Barlow lens, maybe some filters, and a red flashlight to see what you’re doing. Trouble is, it’s not very convenient hauling out boxes of accessories if you’re just going to use a few, and it’s no fun fumbling around in the boxes or your tripod’s accessory tray to find these things. Or worse yet, knocking them off the tray or dropping them in the dark. If you have an observing table, it’s almost never within arm’s reach of the telescope’s eyepiece, and it’s easy to knock things off an observing table, too. That’s where the Orion Waist Case comes in. It keeps all your often-used accessories literally “on you" – organized, protected, and within easy reach. The Waist Case is a lightweight (10 oz.) and rugged polyester hip or waist pack designed exclusively for the amateur astronomer. It has a foam interior custom-fitted with seven die-cut holes to firmly and safely hold up to seven 1.25" eyepieces. Or if you prefer, use the supplied foam inserts to convert the interior to hold three 2" eyepieces, three 1.25" eyepieces, and a short Barlow. It has mesh pockets on top, in front, and on the sides for holding filters and other accessories, like the Orion Deep600 fold-up map of the heavens. There’s also a lanyard clip on one side. The top flap unzips and folds back, out of the way, if desired. Its adjustable waist band fits waist sizes up to 58", so you can even use it when wearing a heavy down winter coat.
