When ordering, please supply us with your telescope’s outside tube diameter so the curved base can be precisely machined to fit your tube’s curvature. For this figure, please measure the outside tube diameter across two perpendicular distances through the center line of the tube and average these two values. The adapter will be precision machined of aluminum to fit your specifications and black anodized. Since this adapter is custom made to fit your specific optical tube only, it may take several weeks to fabricate the adapter, depending on the manufacturer’s production schedule. The adapter is non-returnable if the wrong tube o. d. is specified when ordering.

The center of the adapter has a 2.75" diameter opening that accepts the body of any Feather Touch focuser. Your optical tube must have a 2-5/8" to 2-3/4" diameter hole to clear the focuser drawtube. Recessed setscrews in the adapter fit into a groove in the Feather Touch focuser body to lock the focuser in place. For maximum optical performance, consider the #FT-CCBL custom curved base adapter with leveling screws, rather than this non-adjustable version. The leveling screw option will let you fine-tune the collimation of the focuser with the light path.
