This Losmandy side by side plate incorporates two Vixen-style saddle plates mounted parallel to each other on a Vixen-style dovetail. The dovetail slots in the two saddles are mounted on the Vixen-style dovetail at right angles to the long axis of the dovetail. This allows you to mount two optical systems with Vixen-style dovetail rails side by side on any mount having a Vixen-style dovetail slot in its head by simply rotating the mount head 90 degrees. Two no-tool knobs in each saddle clamp the optical systems securely in place.

The dual saddles have Vixen-style dovetail slots that accept any standard Vixen-style dovetail rail. The adapter weighs 2.75 lbs. The total thickness is 1.6" and the saddle plate separation is 9.25", center to center. The side by side plate is made of machined aluminum, anodized black.
