The inner T-2 threaded portion of the optional T-ring will have to be removed to use the T-ring with this adapter. You may prefer to buy a second T-ring to use specifically with this adapter rather than disassembling and reassembling an existing T-ring each time you want to switch from prime focus to planetary photography. The inner T-2 ring is removed using the small screwdriver supplied with the adapter. If requested in the “comments" field of your order, when you buy this adapter and the appropriate T-ring we will be happy to assemble the T-ring and adapter for you before shipping.

The adapter threads onto the coma corrector (which threads in turn into the telescope’s 60mm focuser drawtube) for use with the R200SS. With the VC200L, the adapter threads directly into the scope’s 60mm focuser drawtube with no other accessory needed. Once mounted on your scope, three easy-adjust thumbscrews on the adapter let you rotate your camera body to the best image orientation and lock it securely in place with no tools required.
