This Meade Ultra Wide Angle is an excellent high magnification wide field eyepiece that works as well with fast focal ratio reflectors as it does with long focal length refractors and Maksutovs – and any telescope in between. The field is nicely sharp from edge to edge. The eyepiece provides high power that’s ideal for resolving globular clusters and closely-spaced binary star pairs. The eye relief is surprisingly good for such a short focal length eyepiece. Eyeglass wearers will still see a vignetted image. This isn’t as much a problem as you might think, as the field of view is so wide that even non-eyeglass wearers can’t see the whole field at once and have to move their heads from side to side to take in the immense view. This is one of those eyepieces that can truly be described as showing you a “picture window view" of space.
