| The Kendrick Premier digital dew heater power controller is the most advanced controller of its type available. This six output/seven amp maximum output controller has many new features that were previously unavailable in any controller.
For example, the controller has built in low voltage cut-off (a Kendrick standard) on outputs 1 through 5, with an LED power-on indicator for each output. The LED Display can be set anywhere from a low setting for nightime use to bright for daytime use. There are 6 outputs (2 of which are constant on), and outputs 1 through 4 are individually programmable. There is temperature/humidity sensing and control on two outputs and you have your choice of Fahrenheit or Celsius operation. Numerical keypad entry of all operating parameters gives you exceptionally precise control of your settings. There are sensor readouts to show ambient air temperature, the temperature of your optics, the dewpoint temperature, humidity in %, and battery voltage. You can enable or disable individual outputs (output #6 cannot be disabled), and you have the ability to save up to 4 different operating configurations.
For astro-imaging, the Premier controller is completely RFI (radio frequency interference) free to keep electronic artifacts from appearing in your images. This is an absolutely necessary feature if you are into digital imaging! It has an LED display with brightness control.
MOSFET transistors are used on the controller’s circuit board and on all outputs so there are no voltage drops!. This assures that you’ll always get the best possible performance out of your dew heaters! For long life, the Premier controller is protected by a beautiful brushed stainless steel case.
The Premier controller has an optional remote control, programming, and monitoring capability (optional software #KDPRCP is required).
Outputs 1 through 4 can be individually programmed to operate anywhere from 10% on to 100% on.
Outputs 1 and 2 can be individually programmed to operate within a user-specified temperature variance (i.e., 5° above air temperature or 5° above the dewpoint).
Outputs 1 and 2 can be individually programmed to operate at a user-specified set temperature. This function is useful if you have a device that needs to kept at a specific temperature for optimal performance.
Outputs 1 and 2 can be programmed to mirror one another. For example, if output #1 has been programmed to operate at 7º above the dewpoint, then output #2 would come on and turn off at the same time as output #1.
Outputs 1 through 5 can be turned on or off at any time. This is useful if, for example, you are running fans to aid in cooling your optics and you want them shut off.
With the Kendrick Premier Power Controller, you have a platform that offers centralized power management of telescope accessories and dew prevention heaters. Not only dew heaters, but accessories such as Dobsonian cooling fans, digital setting circles, illuminated eyepieces, telescope motor drives, Dew-Guard secondary mirror heaters, motorized focusers, and more can be powered from the Premier Power Controller (although some plug modification may be required).
The Kendrick Premier Power Controller Package includes the Premier controller itself; one temperature/humidity sensor for sensing ambient air temperature and humidity; one temperature cable for sensing the temperature of your optics (additional cables may be purchased); a lanyard for hanging the controller from your scope; and an instruction manual. The temperature sensors are calibrated in-house by Kendrick for accurate and repeatable performance.
