| The Meade #126 is physically very short (2.5") and was designed to fit into the star diagonal of the Meade ETX Maksutov-Cassegrains to keep the telescope/eyepiece height comfortably low. However, it can also be used in the 1.25" star diagonal of any type or brand of telescope for true 2x magnification. In addition to the Meade ETX scopes, it is particularly recommended for use with current Meade DS Series refractors and reflectors, as well as with older Meade 390, 395, and Polaris refractors and Meade 4420, 4450, 4500, and Polaris reflectors. It is needed with these latter reflectors to allow photography with a #1320 or #1321 camera adapter. Its multicoated achromatic glass doublet lens works best at focal ratios of f/6 and above. A thumbscrew holds eyepieces in place.
