This adapter can be used with a Fieldscope spotting scope that’s fitted with a Nikon 24/30x, 30/38x, 40/50x, or 60/75x Fieldscope eyepiece.

The #6916 adapter consists of three pieces and connects to your scope and camera in the following manner. The part labeled FSA-1 slips over the scope side of one of the optional eyepieces listed above. A rubber O-ring in the FSA-1 holds the eyepiece snugly in the adapter. The part labeled FSA-2 slips over the observer’s side of the eyepiece and threads onto the FSA-1 to hold the eyepiece firmly in place. The eyepiece, enclosed in the FSA-1/FSA-2 assembly, is connected to the Fieldscope as it would be normally. This #6919 adapter ring is attached to your Coolpix 880 camera and the part labeled FSA-3 is threaded onto the adapter ring. Slip the FSA-3, with camera attached, onto the eyepiece/FSA-1/FSA-2 assembly and tighten the thumbscrew in the FSA-3 to hold the camera firmly in place on the eyepiece. The thumbscrew allows the camera to be rotated to a landscape or portrait orientation. Turn the camera on and start taking pictures.
