How to use the Zeiss Cleaning Fluid: First remove any loose dust or dirt from the surface to be cleaned, using a soft brush or air blower. The pump spray bottle allows you to spray the cleaning fluid lightly onto a soft cloth, preferably cotton. Do not saturate the cloth. The dampened cloth is then used to wipe the smudges off the optical surface, using gentle circular strokes. A second clean and soft dry cotton cloth should be used to wipe the surface dry. Do not spray the fluid directly onto your eyepieces, telescope lenses, binocular lenses, etc, as the fluid can be wicked into the spaces between the lenses by capillary action, potentially ruining the optics. Always lightly dampen a soft cloth with the fluid and use the cloth to do the actual cleaning.
