This 31.5" long padded tripod bag can be used with many different spotting scope/camera tripods, such as the current Manfrotto #055XDB and the recently-discontinued #3170N, #3175N, #3178N, and #3180N. The bag’s asymmetric tapered shape allows it to hold the tripod with pan head attached. The tripod legs fit comfortably in the narrower end of the bag (13cm – 5.1" diameter) and extra space is allowed for the larger volume of the head at the wider end (15cm – 5.9" diameter). The tapered shape also means it’s easier to put the tripod and head in the bag, even if the head levers and knobs are attached and jut out slightly.

The case has a zippered closure that extends down the length of the bag, but also fully opens the top end of the bag. This makes it easier to get your tripod in and out of the bag quickly.

The bag is made of durable three-layer ballistic nylon – an outer layer of waterproof heavy gauge 1680 denier nylon, a middle padding layer of thermoformed high density polyethylene closed cell foam, and an inner layer of non-snagging 420 denier polyurethane coated nylon. The zips and other materials used are of top quality. The bag can be carried vertically by the end handle (which is also useful for storage), or shoulder-carried using the included strap.
